About Me

Born and brought up in Kolkata, in a high-profile political family, I was despatched to England for my undergraduate degree by my family, with the recipe for one chicken curry and one dal. I didn’t even know how to boil an egg when I arrived at university. After my Master’s degree, I started trying to replicate the gorgeous and wholesome food I grew up on in my very own, and thoroughly modern, Indian kitchen in London.

Great seeing food queens @Asma_KhanLDN & @MallikaBasu_ in the @waitrose publications, available in stores now. I had a lovely shopping experience at the #Bromley branch, and was thrilled to spot these articles. 🌶️🌿


As this week just keeps getting better, I picked @waitrose Weekend up on the way to the pub yesterday with my recipe in it. The eggs here are tossed in turmeric and chilli and sautéed until crinkly for extra texture and flavour. Please do grab a copy, it’s eggcellent
